I.Information on subject of recruitment for:
candidates who want to commence full-time doctoral studies in English language based on the principles binding for Polish citizens:


BASIC PRINCIPLES

The Faculty of Management is conducting recruitment for the following study course for the academic year of 2017/2018:

  • full-time doctoral studies in the field of science of management in English language.

 Recruitment shall take place by way of competition. A person may be allowed to study at third degree level who has second degree qualifications (M.A. title, MSc. title or equivalent), as stipulated in art. 2 Act 1 pt. 18g Act dated 27 July 2005 entitled: Law on Higher Education, or who is the beneficiary of the program entitled: “Diamond Grant”, as stipulated in art. 187a Act 1, as well as receiving a positive result in the qualifying competition.

Criteria of qualifications for full-time doctoral studies in English language constitute the following:

  • summary of professional accomplishments detailing scientific and research achievements and scientific intentions of the candidate at hand.
  • average grades of diplomas of completion of I and II degree studies or grade on diploma of completion of uniform Master’s studies.
  • opinion on predisposition of candidate to conduct research and scientific work.

Decision regarding acceptance for doctoral studies is taken by the Faculty Doctoral Recruitment Commission. Candidates shall be accepted on the basis of the results of the recruitment procedure in order of the points total acquired as stipulated by the Faculty Doctoral Recruitment Commission within the framework of the restriction of vacancies. Recruitment for doctoral studies is conducted in the IRK system.

 

DEADLINES

Recruitment for the doctoral studies takes place between 19 June 2017 and 22 September 2017. Electronic registration commences from 19 June 2017 at 8:00 and concludes on 21 September 2017 at 23:00.

 

PROCEDURE      

1.     A candidate enrols for studies in the internet system of www.irk.pcz.pl , uploads ID photograph (if interested) and prints out the application.

2.     A candidate completes the documents listed below and subsequently submits them in a white folder (sample) in the office of the Faculty Doctoral Recruitment Commission.

3.     Following confirmation of the completeness of the documentation submitted, the Faculty Doctoral Recruitment Commission permits the candidate to participate in the interview.

4.     A candidate submits a summary of professional accomplishments detailing scientific and research achievements and scientific intentions (max. 2 pages of A4 format).

5.     The Commission evaluates the candidate by taking the following into consideration: hitherto scientific achievements, range of studies completed and results acquired during the course of studies, as well as the predisposition for scientific work. The members of the Commission award points in accordance with Appendix no. 2 Resolution no. 51/2016/2017 dated 22 March 2017 (link).

6.     On the basis of the results of the competition procedure, a ranking list is created. The candidates with the highest scores shall be accepted.

7.     The final results of the recruitment procedure shall be made public (notice board, website). A candidate receives the decision of acceptance or rejection for the first year of studies in writing.

8.     The decision of the Faculty Doctoral Recruitment Commission may be appealed with the Rector within 14 days of receiving the decision. The decision of the Rector is final.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Application for acceptance to III degree studies generated in the IRK system.
  • Personal questionnaire (print-out).
  • Résumé or CV.
  • Copy of diploma of completing I and II degree studies, or uniform Master’s studies in the fields of technical, mathematical, physical, chemical, economic or social sciences in courses that are compatible or related to the scientific discipline for which the candidate is submitting an application for as III degree studies.
  • A candidate for III degree studies that is not in possession of a diploma of completing II degree studies submits a document attesting to the acquisition of the status of a beneficiary of the program entitled: “Diamond Grant”.
  • A document confirming the change of surname ( this relates to people having a diploma issued under another name than that provided in the application for III degree studies.
  • 3 photographs against a bright background with no headgear (45 mm x 65 mm).
  • Copy of personal ID.
  • A summary of professional accomplishments including information relating to the following: reasons for applying for acceptance for doctoral studies, envisaged subject matter of future PhD thesis, scientific and organizational achievements attained (if the candidate has some).
  • Copy of certificates attesting to the level of familiarity with foreign languages, specialized computer programs (confirmed as being in conformance with original).
  • Consent for the processing of personal data in accordance with the Act dated 29 August 1997 relating to the protection of personal data (Law Gazette no. 133, pos. 883 with further amendments) (print-out),
  • Possible application for doctoral scholarship and application for the awarding of doctoral scholarship for specified beneficiary subsidy for subsidization of pro-qualitative projects and benefits accruing from the resolutions of the “Act on Higher Education” (link).

 Additionally:

  • Written agreement for scientific care acquired from an academic teacher that is authorized to fulfil the function of a supervisor in the doctoral dissertation research, while also the consent of the Director of the Institute or Department Head for the realization of the PhD thesis (print-out).

 

LIMIT OF PLACEMENTS in academic year of 2017/2018

  • Full-time doctoral studies in English language - 15 placements.
